Factors to consider in the subcontracting of accessible web pages
Abstract
This paper explains how public bodies in particular manage the subcontracting of accessible web pages. Criteria are established that should be included in the tender documents. These criteria relate to the supplier, the process of designing the web page and the tool that is used to create it. In addition, guidelines are given for the final evaluation of the finished product, which can be carried out by the entity itself through basic tests or with the help of an external advisor. The paper addresses technical accessibility, but also proposes that "usable accessibility" should be sought, in which the user is taken into greater account in the entire design and evaluation process.
